If you’re using bleach, let the machine run for a minute to mix the bleach with the water, then let it sit for an hour before completing the cycle.

Step 2: Scrub the Inside of the Washing Machine

Next, mix about 1/4 cup of vinegar with a quart of warm water in a bucket or sink. Use this solution, along with a sponge and a dedicated toothbrush, to clean the inside of the machine.
